I applaud the stance taken by Sriman Satyahit prabhu’s wife and am sorry she could not secure an “original” copy, as was asked. It is beyond shameful and offensive, changing the thoughts and words of our beloved and great acharya, Srila Prabhupada’s books. Here’s a quote from Caitanya-caritamrta Adi lila, ch.2, text 86, where Srila Prabhupada states:

      “Srila Vyasadeva revealed these statements after perfect realization and therefore they are perfect, for liberated sages like Vyasadeva never commit errors in there rhetorical arrangements. Unless one accepts this fact, there is no use in trying to obtain help from the revealed scriptures.”

I guess the word-changers have not read this quote yet, since the “book-changing” nonsense seems to continue to thrive.
